Cooking Classes near Yellowstone National Park

I will be introducing you to Dutch Oven cooking; a primitive way of cooking that is not only fun, but it will allow you to impress your family and friends. Participants will be helping cook with my direction and guidance. This is a hands-on class, upon arrival you will be helping prepare the main protein dish, a vegetable, bread, and homemade dessert. All Dutch Ovens, food ingredients, tools, recipes and instructions will be provided. While dinner is cooking, you will be invited to relax in our garden area and visit our mini farm animals. You will be shown how to prepare a Dutch Oven meal over an open fire pit outdoors and on propane stoves (weather permitting) At the end of the class each person will be invited to sit at a picnic table in the great outdoors surrounded by beautiful mountain views; and enjoy the meal that you have helped prepare. If the weather is bad, we will be eating indoors. No prior Dutch Oven cooking experience is necessary. Basic cooking experience is recommended, but not required. Some areas of focus: Basic Dutch Oven Skills, Cleaning and Caring for your Oven, Heat Sources, Tools of the trade, Making friends around the campfire under our Montana skies!
